Missing woman from Thunderchild First Nation found deceased

UPDATE: DeeDee Steele has been located deceased on the Thunderchild First Nation. Turtleford RCMP along with Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit worked in consultation with the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service in this investigation.

UPDATE: DeeDee Steele has been located deceased on the Thunderchild First Nation. Turtleford RCMP along with Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit worked in consultation with the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service in this investigation. At this time, officers are not investigating the cause of death as being suspicious.

BACKGROUND June 28: Turtleford RCMP is requesting the public's assistance in locating 32-year-old DeeDee Steele from Thunderchild First Nation. DeeDee's family has not heard from her since Friday, June 12 and is worried for her well-being.

DeeDee Steele was last seen in Thunderchild First Nation on the morning of Friday, June 12 at House 266. She might have been on the same day in Livelong. She was wearing a brown sweater and blue jeans or sweatpants. 

DeeDee is a 32-year-old Indigenous woman of thin build. She is tall, has long dyed blonde hair and brown eyes. She is missing a front tooth.

DeeDee has connections in Thunderchild First Nation and Vernon, B.C. It is possible she is travelling between the two locations but this cannot be confirmed.
