The Saskatchewan Rattlers, member club of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL), are excited to announce the signing of Canadian guard, Kemy Osse to their roster.

Osse, a Montreal, Que.-native most recently played for the Windsor Express of the National Basketball League of Canada (NBLC). This is Osse’s third professional season having spent the prior two seasons with the Island Storm and the Saint John Riptide, both of the NBLC. Over the course of his professional career, the 6-foot-1 guard has averaged 10.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists over the course of 97 professional games.

Osse was a standout member of Team Quebec at the 2009 Canada Games. Upon graduating Archibald Carroll High School in Washington, D.C., Osse proceeded to play four years with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock which is a NCAA Division 1 program. The Trojans play in the Sun Belt Conference which is part of NCAA’s Division 1. During his time with the Trojans, Osse averaged 6.02 points, 2.4 rebounds and 17.5 minutes per game. Osse made history when the 12th ranked Trojans upset the 5th ranked University of Purdue Boilermakers in the first round of the 2016 March Madness tournament.

“We are very excited to have Kemy join us and see what he can bring to the team”, said Rattlers GM Barry Rawlyk. “Kemy is a playmaking scorer who can not only find the open shot for himself but also find his teammates. His work rate on both ends of the floor will be great to have as he’s also very adept at picking up rebounds. Kemy has had a very successful collegiate and professional career and I believe that he will be a great fit not only on the court but also out in the community.”

The Rattlers enter the 2020 season as the defending CEBL Champions. They will open the season away from home on May 8 when they take on the Fraser Valley Bandits. The Rattlers home opener will take place on May 14 against the Bandits, when they will celebrate the 2019 season by unveiling the first-ever CEBL Championship banner. Season tickets and flex packs are available on therattlers.ca, with group and single-game tickets expected to be released in the coming months.
