On July 17, 2019, La Ronge RCMP along with the Meadow Lake Police Dog Service, executed a search warrant at a residence on Lac La Ronge First Nation, SK.
Once officers entered the residence, they located several adults. One adult male was arrested and the second adult male was arrested prior to the search.
Officers searched the residence and seized 115 grams of crack cocaine, a small amount of cash, a sawed off rifle, and marihuana. A large amount of cash was located on the subject who was arrested before the warrant was executed.
Dennis Riley Charles (DOB: 1976-02-22) from Lac La Ronge First Nation is charged with:
· Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking Sec. 5(2) CDSA
· Trafficking cocaine Sec 5(1) CDSA
· Unlawfully possess cannabis Sec 8 Cannabis Act
· Unsafe storage of firearm Sec 86(1) CC
· Possession weapon dangerous to public Sec 88 CC
· Possession prohibited firearm when not licenced Sec. 91(1) CC
· Possession firearm when prohibited Sec. 117.01(1) CC
John Riley Sanderson (DOB: 1987-12-25) from Lac La Ronge First Nation is charged with:
· Possession cocaine for the purpose of trafficking Sec. 5(2) CDSA
· Trafficking cocaine Sec. 5(1) CDSA
· Possession proceeds of crime under $5000 Sec. 354(1)(a) CC
Both men will be appearing in La Ronge Provincial Court on July 18, 2019, at 09:00 am.
