Robbery with firearm: Battlefords RCMP

On Saturday, Dec. 14, at approximately 9:30am, Battlefords RCMP received several 911 calls indicating that there was a hysterical female screaming in the middle of the road on the 900 block of 110th Street in North Battleford.

On Saturday, Dec. 14, at approximately 9:30am, Battlefords RCMP received several 911 calls indicating that there was a hysterical female screaming in the middle of the road on the 900 block of 110th Street in North Battleford.

RCMP attended and located the female who indicated that two males entered her residence and one of the males was armed with a firearm.

The males demanded cash and fired several rounds in the apartment, however no one was injured.

The males took off before RCMP arrived on scene.

The investigation has resulted in charges being laid and warrants issued for the following individuals:

Skylar Pooyak, 24 years old of North Battleford has been charged with:

Robbery with a firearm

Assault with a Weapon

Possess Weapon while prohibited from doing so

Reckless Discharge of a Firearm

Possess Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

Unlawfully in a Dwelling House

Carry concealed Weapon

Several charges of failing to comply with his Court Order

A 17 year old male from North Battleford is also charged with several related offences but cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The investigation has confirmed that this was not a random incident.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Pooyak is asked to call the Battlefords RCMP or Crimestoppers.
