As a long-standing supporter of SaskAbilities, the Saskatchewan Automobile Dealers’ Association(SADA)plays an important role in helping Saskatchewan children, youth and adultsexperiencing disability enjoy an authentic summer camping experience. In 2019, through its own fundraising efforts, SADA contributed $30,000 to CampEaster Seal, bringing their total donations to Camp to over $500,000.

Since 2004, SADA has madeSaskAbilities’ Camp Easter Seal its charity of choice. Over the years SADA has helped to make Camp more accessible. They purchased an accessible bus for Camp, as well as a pontoon boat as part of Camp’s aquatics program. Their significant contributions have covered the cost of thousands of campers who attend.

Susan Buckle, Executive Director for SADA said, “It is important to all of our members to support families living in and doing business in our communities and province. Our Association is pleased to support Camp Easter Seal and to have an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of all people experiencing disabilities in Saskatchewan.

”Camp Easter Seal has been in operation for 65 years, is the only fully accessible camp of its kind in Saskatchewan and has positively impacted the lives of thousands of children, youth and adults. For many individuals experiencing disability, the chance to attend Camp Easter Seal provides an opportunity to build independence, increase confidence and self-esteem, develop lifelong friendships, and experience the great outdoors in a safe and barrier free environment.

“SaskAbilities is very grateful for the significant contributions that SADA continues to make to Camp Easter Seal,”says Karen Moore, Director of Provincial Services with SaskAbilities. “The impact they have made in the lives of thousands of campersis truly remarkable! We look forward to working with SADA in the coming years to continue to send deserving kids to Camp.”
