Team Saskatchewan announces male U-16 roster for 2019 WHL CUP

The Saskatchewan Hockey Association and SaskFirst High-Performance program has announced the 20 players that will be part of Team Saskatchewan’s Male Under-16 program for the 2019-20 season.

The roster is compiled of 2004 born athletes and features six (6) players that were selected in the 1st or 2nd rounds of the 2019 Western Hockey League (WHL) Bantam Draft. Those players include; Kevin Korchinski (1st Round, #10 Overall, Seattle Thunderbirds), Dylan Ernst (2nd Rd., #28 Overall, Kamloops Blazers), Hunter Mayo (2nd Rd., #23 Overall, Red Deer Rebels), Kalem Parker (2nd Rd., #32 Overall, Victoria Royals), Carter Dereniwsky (2nd Rd., #39 Overall, Victoria Royals) and Kyren Gronick (2nd Rd., #26 Overall, Prince George Cougars).

Team Saskatchewan’s Male Under-16 roster for the 2019 WHL CUP includes:

Goaltenders: Ethan Chadwick (Saskatoon) and Dylan Ernst (Weyburn)

 

Defenseman: Tre Fouquette (Warman), Kevin Korchinski (Saskatoon), Hunter Mayo (Saskatoon), Logan McCutcheon (Saskatoon), Kalem Parker (Clavet) and Cole Tanchuk (Shellbrook)

 

Forwards: Kobie Anderson (North Battleford), Carter Briltz (Regina), Mason Bueckert (Saskatoon), Carter Cormier (Kindersley), Carter Dereniwsky (Canora), Kyren Gronick (Regina), Parker Lalonde (Aberdeen), Jhett Larson (Delisle), Jakin Lawrence (Rosetown), Kylynn Olafson (Lanigan), Tye Spencer (Saskatoon) and Vaughn Watterodt (Rosetown)
