UPDATE: In Hyas sudden death

Around 3:30 p.m. April 28, Kamsack RCMP responded to a complaint of a sudden death in a residence on the 300 block of 1st Avenue North in the village of Hyas, SK.

Initial investigation resulted in the RCMP Major Crime Unit North becoming engaged; however, at this time we cannot confirm if the death is suspicious in nature.

The deceased is an adult male and investigators were working to confirm his identity so his family could be notified.

The adult male’s identity has now been confirmed and his family has been notified.

The investigation undertaken by the RCMP Major Crime Unit – North, Kamsack RCMP, and Saskatchewan Coroners Service determined no foul play was involved in his death. 

Since the death is not suspicious in nature, no further updates will be released with regards to this investigation.
