The Robyn Silvernagle team from North Battleford is still alive at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Moose Jaw.

But it took a hair-raising morning tiebreaker win for Silvernagle to make it to the championship round. After New Brunswick stole one to force an extra end, Saskatchewan scored two in the 11th end to win 9-7 to earn their spot in the championship round.

The Silvernagle team were forced into the tiebreaker after a 4-3 loss to Northern Ontario in 11 ends on Wednesday night. That dropped them to a 4-3 record and the team will carry those three losses into the championship round, which makes every game crucial over the next two days if they hope to advance to the playoffs.

Next up for Saskatchewan is PEI in the 12:30 p.m. draw, followed by wild card Jennifer Jones at 6:30 p.m. tonight. The Friday schedule sees Silvernagle play Rachel Homan and Ontario at 12:30 p.m. and Corryn Brown of British Columbia at 6:30 p.m. to wrap up the round.
