The Village of Invermay sponsored a Stronger Together community tour on July 1 in an effort to promote unity on Canada Day, said Mayor Mike Kaminski.
Sgt. Terrance Postnikoff of the Wadena RCMP Detachment led the parade west from the Invermay Community Hall on Fourth Avenue, southeast on First Avenue, north on First Street East, west on Fourth Avenue past the nursing home and back to the hall.
Approximately 25 floats made the community tour memorable for all the spectators along the parade route.
“Special thanks go out to all the businesses and individuals who participated in the display of togetherness at this time of the COVID-19 crisis,” concluded Kaminski.
