The strong performance by the Weyburn Red Wings netminder backstopped his team to an eventual 3-0 win over the host Yorkton Hyundai Terriers in Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League action.

Weyburn took their lead early, when Shayde Peterson scored what would prove the eventual game-winner only 4:30 into the contest.

An unassisted effort by Braden Birnie made it 2-0 for the visitors at 12:09 of the opening frame.

There would be no scoring in the second period.

The Wings did add an empty netter by Jaxon Tait with 12-seconds left in the game to secure the 3-0 win.

Philippe Bond was in the Terrier net facing 23-shots in the loss.
