Atoms take Melville tourney

The Yorkton Deneschuk Homes Atom Terriers had a strong showing Nov. 3rd and 4th winning four straight games to take the A final in Melville's home tournament. The team won their first game against the Melville Blades by a score of 4 to 3.

The Yorkton Deneschuk Homes Atom Terriers had a strong showing Nov. 3rd and 4th winning four straight games to take the A final in Melville's home tournament. The team won their first game against the Melville Blades by a score of 4 to 3. Mason Lammers, Josh Herzog, Logan Rohatensky and Benjamin Lortie all scored goals. The Deneschuk Terriers beat the Regina Capitals 10 - 2 in their second game. Herzog, Lortie and Karson Krasowski all tallied hat tricks and Rohatensky scored a single. In the semi-final against the Yorkton Richardson Terriers the Yorkton Deneschuk Terriers won 3-2 in a shoot out. Rylan Bahrey and Lortie scored in regulation time. In the A final the Yorkton Deneschuk Homes Terriers beat the Melville Ice 3-2. Singles came from Lammers, Lortie and Herzog. Notable mention goes to Jesse Kobylko who played well in net all weekend and was arguably the game star in the final.
