The Richardson Pioneer Men's Fastball League is into its 2020 playoffs.
In Round #1 the Rhein Rockets defeated the Fishing Lake Cubs in two straight games, both by rather lopsided scores; 10-0 and 11-1
The Rockets showed power in the two-game set with home runs from Bret Peppler, Jason Smalley, Chad Sebulsky, and Evan Neibrandt.
The ageless Terry Peppler, 58, was again in fine form from the circle as he recorded wins in both games.
Also in Round #1 at Balcarres the Neudorf Posse defeated the host Balcarres Broncs 5-4 and 2-1.
The winning pitcher in both games was Drew Hoehn.
Jason Napady punched out the lone round-tripper..
Neudorf now advances to play in Rhein versus the Rockets in Semi-Final action Saturday at 11 and 12:30.
Also in Round #1 the Wynyard Blues host the Rosebud Royals Saturday with games scheduled for 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m..
At 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. the Foam Lake Merchants visit thevRosebud Royals at RE/MAX Diamond in Wadena. Winners of these two modified best of threes face each other in other Semi Finals
