Weekend gold for U13 girls

The Under 13 Girls United Soccer Team captured gold in their first tournament; the Hollandia Off the Wall tourney held Dec 1-3 in Saskatoon.
The girls opened the tournament with a victory against Regina Queen City scoring a 4-2 victory. Scoring for United were Halima Kazim, Avery Bond and Angela Fetsch with two. Jaya Code made some amazing saves as keeper to hold QC to only two goals.
Next up for the United Girls was Hollandia Voswinkel. This game ended in a 2-2 draw. Angela Fetsch scored both goals for United.
The Final game of the round robin was against Hollandia Poelzer. United won 5-3. Goal scorers were Angela Fetsch with the hat trick and Avery Bond with a pair.
With two wins and a tie, United won their pool and advanced to the final against Lakewood Heat, They won the final 1-0 on the strength of a goal by Halima Kazim and a shut-out compliments of Jaya Code.
The girls will now prepare for two tournaments coming up in January in Saskatoon and Regina.
