It was a big offensive effort by both the Weyburn Beavers and the Lloydminster Twins as they met in one of the semi finals of the 2019 13U Baseball Provincial Championship Tier 6).
The Beavers broke out to a 10-2 lead in the game being held this morning at the Saltcoats Regional Park.
But the Twins battled back to tie the game 10-10, then edging ahead 11-10 in the fifth inning.
Weyburn then scored nine in the top of the sixth, including a grand slam by Marek Keslering, to lead 19-11.
The Twins did cut into the lead with three in the home half of the sixth and final inning but the Beavers were on to the final thanks to a 19-14 win.
