The Yorkton City Wide Championship Basketball Tournament was held recently.
On the boys’ side a familiar side emerged the winner as Yorkdale Central school Royal Boys basketball team defeated Mc Knoll in the final 39-31.
With the win the Yorkdale Boys have captured the championship seven out of the last 10 years.
The Yorkdale Central School Lady Royals are even more dominant as they won their ninth straight City Basketball Championship with their victory over St. Michael’s School. The Yorkdale girls haven't lost to a Yorkton elementary team in over more than nine years.
