The Yorkton AA Pee Wee (ages 10-12) tournament on the weekend featured eight teams.
Teams taking part included;. Dauphin, Saskatoon, two Regina teams, Brandon, Weyburn and Estevan.
Each team played four games.
“In our first game the Yorkton Canadian Western Bank Peewee AA Terriers played Regina Tigers and we won 7-1,” said Yorkton coach Cody Bowtell.
“Our second game we played Dauphin kings and beat them 6-2.
“And, to finish round robin we played the Weyburn Youngfellow Redwings and won 5-3.”
Bowtell said that put Yorkton in a good spot.
“We finished first in our pool and played the first place team in the other pool which was the Brandon Wheat Kings,” he said. “We won the ‘A’ side final with a score of 6-4.”
