Yorkton well represented at WHL Cup

Three young Yorkton hockey players are in Calgary this week as they compete in the U16 WHL Cup. Austin Dycer, Jackson Berezowski and Ryder Korczak were selected to play for Team Saskatchewan.

Three young Yorkton hockey players are in Calgary this week as they compete in the U16 WHL Cup. 

Austin Dycer, Jackson Berezowski and Ryder Korczak were selected to play for Team Saskatchewan. They will compete against other provincial western Canada teams, in hopes of winning the WHL Cup. 

All three players belong to the Yorkton RawTec Maulers Midget AAA team. 

Forwards Berezowski and Korczak have both played seven games with the Maulers so far this season, and each have eight points.

Dycer, a defenseman, has played six games this season and has two points so far. 

Also reprenting Yorkton is Terriers assistant coach Mat Hehr, who is the video coach for Team Sask. 

Korczak was named as the captain for the tournament. 

Games start on Wednesday night in Calgary, as Team Sask takes on Team Alberta.
