The regional playdowns for under-18 curling was hosted at the Yorkton Curling Club Sunday.
On the girls side a team out of the Saltcoats Curling Club advanced to provincials which will be held in Regina. The team was skipped by Jessica Farquharson, with Karlee Sidoryk at third, Katelyn Farquharson playing second, and lead Caitlin Sidoryk. The team is coached by Stephen Farquharson.
It was a team out of the ReMax Wadena Curling Club that advanced to Regina on the U18 boys’ side.
Jayden Bindig was the winning skip, with his team of third Nathen Pomeclli, second Braden Fleischhacker, and lead Nathan Nygaard. Verne Anderson was the coach.
The 2019 Ramada Hotels Under 18 finals will be held March 14-17.
